BEIRUT,(Palestine Foundation Information Center )Two people were martyred on Thursday morning when Israeli warplanes bombed a car in southern Lebanon, in a fresh violation of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah.
Lebanon’s Public Health Ministry’s Emergency Operations Center confirmed in a statement that “the Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle on the Jarmak-al-Khardali road resulted in two martyrs and left one person injured.”
The attack comes as Israel continues to violate the ceasefire deal reached with Hezbollah in November 2024, carrying out strikes across southern and eastern Lebanon under the pretext of hitting weapons depots, infrastructure, and Hezbollah fighters. The Israeli forces still occupy five hills seized during the most recent war.
Israel launched its aggression against Lebanon in October 2023, which escalated into a full-scale war by September 2024. That war killed more than 4,000 people and wounded nearly 17,000 others before the ceasefire was reached.
