A horde of extremist Jewish settlers set fire to the Hajjah Hamida Mosque in the town of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit in the occupied West Bank, at dawn Thursday.
According to local sources, settlers attacked the mosque in the town and set it ablaze after pouring a flammable liquid at its entrance.
The settlers also spray-painted racist and anti-Arab slurs on the mosque’s walls.
Local residents said they managed to contain the fire before it spread and destroyed the entire mosque.
