BEIRUT, (The Palestinian Information Center) At least five people were martyred and six others injured in a wave of Israeli airstrikes in eastern and southern Lebanon on Monday, in the latest violation of a ceasefire deal in place since November 2024.
Local media said that Israeli warplanes launched at least eight airstrikes on the Beqaa and Hermel districts in eastern Lebanon.
Seven airstrikes targeted the outskirts of Hermel, while another one hit the outskirts of al-Labweh village in eastern Lebanon, the state news agency NNA reported.
One of the wounded people was a shepherd. A drone reportedly targeted him on the outskirts of Mais town in southern Lebanon.
An Israeli military statement claimed the attacks targeted military facilities and weapon storage sites used by Hezbollah. There was no immediate comment from Hezbollah on the Israeli claim.
