Extremist settlers attack W. Bank farmers

WEST BANK, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)Extremist Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian farmers in different areas of the occupied West Bank on Saturday morning.

According to local sources, a horde of settlers attacked olive harvesters in the town of Qusra and the village of Jurish, south of Nablus, under the protection of Israeli forces

Olive farmers in Jurish village reportedly stood their ground and managed to fend off the settler attack.

Another group of settlers savagely assaulted over 20 farmers, including women, from the family of Abu Nab’ah during their presence on their own swaths of land in the area between the towns of az-Zawiya and Zarafat in western Salfit.

The settlers also vandalized several vehicles belonging to the famers and fired live rounds at them in an attempt to drive them off their land.

In eastern Ramallah, armed settlers also attacked local farmers while they were collecting olives from their grove in the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah.

The settlers fired live ammunition at the farmers, forcing them to leave the area before seizing their agricultural equipment.

Luckily, no one was hurt in the shooting attacks in Salfit and Ramallah.

Yesterday, settlers carried out a large-scale attack in Beita town, south of Nablus, which resulted in about 50 Palestinians being injured by gunfire, beatings, and tear gas. The settlers also torched 15 vehicles in the area.
