WEST BANK, (The Palestine Foundation Pakistan)The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that 20-year-old Mahdi Ahmed Kamil was killed after being shot by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Qabatiya, south of Jenin.
The IOF troops deployed infantry units in the town’s streets, stormed homes, and arrested at least one individual on Thursdy evening.
Mahdi Kamil was shot and killed during the raid.
With Kamil’s death, the number of Palestinians killed in Jenin Governorate since the Israeli assault on the city and its refugee camp began on January 11, 2025, has reached 51 martyrs.
Early on Friday, two Palestinian civilians were injured by IOF gunfire during military raids across the occupied West Bank, which included home invasions and arrests.
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a boy was wounded in Kafr Aqab, north of Occupied Jerusalem. Palestinian media platforms also documented the moment another young man was shot in Qabatiya, southwest of Jenin.
Israeli forces also raided several towns, including Al-Shuyukh and Sa’ir in the northern part of al-Khalil governorate, carrying out home searches and inspections.
Local sources confirmed that the IOF broke into the Tayeh hamlet, south of Tulkarem, where a young man was arrested. This coincided with another incursion into Nablus, coming through the Al-Murabba’a military checkpoint.
In Deir Ghassaneh, west of Ramallah, the Israeli forces stormed the home of ex-detainee and deportee Yousef Dawood.
Also on Friday morning, the IOF shot and arrested two young Palestinian men at the entrance of the town of Atara, north of Ramallah.
The IOF troops opened fire on a vehicle passing near the Atara Bridge, injuring the two young men on board before detaining them. Their medical conditions remain unknown.
Following the incident, the IOF closed the entrances to Atara, blocking civilian vehicles and forcing residents to take long and difficult alternate routes.
In addition, several entrances to towns and villages east of Ramallah, including Ein Yabroud, Beitin, Deir Dibwan, and Burqa, were sealed off, preventing residents from entering or leaving.
In Nablus, Israeli forces arrested a young man after shooting him inside his home. A special unit infiltrated the Al-Mukhfieh neighborhood, followed by an incursion of military vehicles. The IOF troops stormed a house, fired live ammunition inside, and injured Ihab Abu Rayala in the leg before detaining him.
The IOF also arrested youth activist Haitham Al-Kaabi after raiding and searching his home and damaging a nearby vehicle.
Meanwhile, two young men from the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarem, were detained in a separate operation. Local sources identified them as Ahmad Saif Fuqaha and Fares Ayman Najjar, both arrested following a raid on their homes.
The escalation comes alongside increasing settler attacks, particularly during the annual olive harvest, a critical source of income for thousands of Palestinian families.
According to official Palestinian data, settlers carried out 7,154 attacks on Palestinians and their property in the West Bank during the two years of the Gaza genocide. These assaults resulted in 33 deaths and the displacement of 33 Bedouin communities.
Since the beginning of the war on Gaza, Israeli occupation forces and settlers have killed at least 1,052 Palestinians in the West Bank, injured around 10,300 others, and arrested more than 20,000, including 1,6
