Five Palestinians injured, 30 others kidnaped by IOF in J’lem and W. Bank

WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) injured five Palestinian citizens and kidnaped at least 30 others during raids in Jerusalem and the West Bank on Saturday.

According to local sources, Israeli police forces stormed the east Jerusalem district of Issawiya and embarked on firing live ammunition, tear gas canisters, stun grenades and skunk water cannons at homes and cars, which provoked violent clashes with local youths.

Four citizens were reportedly injured by Israeli police gunfire in Issawiya and transported to al-Maqasid Hospital in Jerusalem before police forces encircled the hospital.

Later, the police forces withdrew from Issawiya without making arrests.

In Ramallah, another young citizen was injured by IOF gunfire during clashes in Abwein town.

The events in Abwein started when Israeli forces raided homes in the town and interrogated local residents.

In Nablus, the IOF stormed the towns of Jamma’in and Sebastia in the northwest of Nablus and patrolled their streets.

In Bethlehem, the IOF stormed Husan town and kidnaped a teenager from his home.

According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society and the Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs, the IOF kidnaped at least 30 citizens, including journalists and children, during raids in different West Bank areas.

The arrests took place in Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Tulkarem, al-Khalil, Tubas and Jerusalem.
