GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) announced on Tuesday that Israeli occupation authorities continue to detain eight volunteers from the “Madleen” ship, nearly 24 hours after all contact with them was lost. The coalition also confirmed that four other volunteers were forcibly deported.
According to the coalition’s statement, lawyers from the legal organization Adalah were able to meet with 10 out of the 12 volunteers. Journalists Omar Fayad (from Al Jazeera) and Yanis Mohamedi (from France) are currently being represented by independent legal advisors.
The list of volunteers includes activists and journalists from several European and Latin American countries. Those deported are Baptiste André (France), Greta Thunberg (Sweden), Sergio Toribio (Spain), Omar Fayad (France)
Those who are still detained include Saeb Ordu (Türkiye), Mark van Ryn (Netherlands), Pascal Mourieras (France), Riva Viard (France), Rima Hassan (France), Tiago Avi (Brazil).
