WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale raid and arrest campaign throughout the West Bank at dawn Wednesday.
Armed clashes broke out in Tulkarem after being violently stormed by IOF troops early today along with two bulldozers.
During the raid, the IOF deployed in large numbers throughout the Tulkarem camp while snipers took off the roofs of local buildings at the entrance to the camp, while the bulldozers started destroying the streets and infrastructure.
The IOF also besieged the Al-Israa Specialized Hospital and the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, preventing ambulances from moving.
Meanwhile, the IOF arrested eight Palestinians from their family houses in Beit Ummar, Yatta, Bani Naim, and Dura towns in al-Khalil.
Also in al-Khalil, a group of Jewish settlers stormed a house belonging to an elderly woman in Maghayir Al-Obaid village in Masafer Yatta.
The settlers severely attacked the elderly woman after holding her two sons in a separate room. The Jewish settlers also stole three sheep before leaving the house.
Five more Palestinians were rounded up in Bethlehem after IOF violently stormed Dheisheh camp and Beit Jala town.
Similar raids were also reported in Azzun and Kafr Thulth towns in Qalqilia.
An unknown number of Gazan workers were detained during the raids.
