WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched overnight and at dawn Thursday a large-scale raid and arrest campaign throughout the West Bank.
In Ramallah, the IOF troops stormed Beit Rima and Deir Ghassana villages, northwest of Ramallah, and arrested several Palestinians, including the political activist Fadia Barghouti, the wife of the prisoner Mahmoud Barghouti.
The IOF also stormed Ramallah City and the Umm Al-Sharayet neighborhood in Al-Bireh, which led to the outbreak of violent confrontations amid the massive use of tear gas bombs.
At least a young man was also detained after the IOF stormed Deir Al-Hatab town in Nablus. The IOF troops also broke into Beit Dajan and the Balata camp, east of the city, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes and confrontations.
Two young men were injured during the clashes, medical sources affirmed.
Meanwhile, a large raid and search campaign was carried out in several buildings in Tulkarem amid a heavy fire of live ammunition.
Similar raids were also reported in Al-Jalama village, northeast of Jenin.
In Jericho, the IOF stormed the Aqabat Jabr camp, arrested two citizens, and targeted a group of journalists while covering the military raid.
The IOF also destroyed the Martyrs’ Roundabout in the center of the camp.
In al-Khalil, the Israeli forces stormed the Al-Fawwar camp and Yatta town and broke into several local homes.
