Karbala (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The third international conference of the Al-Aqsa Call, which has started in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq titled “From the Battle of Karbala to the Flood of Al-Aqsa: The Triumph of Will over Tyranny”.
The conference is organized by the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine along with Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain PBUH.
The Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan Dr Sabir Abu Maryam is attending the conference from Pakistan along with Qasim khan and others.
The conference is held in the atmosphere of the Arbaeen commemoration (40 day of martyrdom) of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and is attended by prominent Palestinian figures and international figures.
The activities began with a visit by the delegations to the shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, followed by a meeting with the legal custodian of the shrine, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, where the importance of the conference was emphasized in supporting the Palestinian cause, especially in light of the current events in the Gaza Strip.
The activities also included a group prayer at the Al-Hussainiya Shrine.
On the second day, the conference sessions were held at Al-Zahra University in Karbala, and were divided into three committees: the first discussed Quranic values and the impact of resistance on the awareness of peoples, the second addressed the impact of Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa on the Palestinian and international levels, and the third focused on the Iraqi role in supporting the Palestinian cause.
The conference concludes with visits to religious landmarks in Iraq, including a visit to the shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Najaf, and the opening of the Mokib Al-Aqsa on the road leading to Karbala.
