WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center)A horde of extremist Jewish settlers rampaged through swaths of agricultural land belonging to a Palestinian citizen in Salfit, while others attacked Palestinian vehicles in Tulkarem on Thursday morning.
According to local sources, dozens of settlers escorted by soldiers wreaked havoc on cultivated lands and destroyed olive trees in Takweera area, which is located between the towns of Burqin and Kafr ad-Dik in western Salfit.
The agricultural area belongs to a Palestinian citizen from Salfit called Abdullah Ahmed.
Another group of settlers attacked cars and assaulted passengers traveling on a road near the illegal settlement of Shilo in northern Ramallah.
Local sources reported that a number of settlers, who gathered at the junction of Shilo settlement, intercepted Palestinian cars traveling on the Ramallah-Nablus main road and attacked passengers with pepper spray.
Settler violence against Palestinians is a daily issue in the West Bank. Instead of taking action to combat their crimes, the Israeli military and security authorities aid and abet settlers in harming Palestinians, destroying their property and seizing their lands.
Settlers carry out a variety of crimes against Palestinians under military protection, including physical assaults, stone throwing, threats and harassment, damaging of trees and crops, vandalism of cars and property, blocking of roads and even firing of live ammunition.
