GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A group of Palestinian citizens were injured on Wednesday evening by Israeli drone fire in Beit Hanoun town in the northern Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported that an Israeli drone bombed a group of citizens who were on a road in the east of Beit Hanoun.
Since the ceasefire agreement took effect in Gaza on January 19, the Israeli occupation army has committed 962 violations, including attacks that claimed the lives of 98 civilians and injured 490 others.
The first phase of the ceasefire agreement came to an end last Saturday evening. Negotiations on the second stage were supposed to begin 16 days after the start of stage one, but this did not happen. Like stage one, stage two is also meant to be completed within 42 days.
Under stage two, the Israeli occupation regime will have to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and accept a permanent ceasefire.
The Palestinian resistance will also hand over more captives — living or dead — if the Israelis agree to engage in talks over the remaining stages of the agreement.
In a related context, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received, in the past 24 hours, the bodies of 30 martyrs, who were reported missing during the war.
According to Gaza’s health ministry on Wednesday, four citizens were also killed in fresh Israeli attacks and another one succumbed to injuries he had sustained during the war.
The new fatalities increased the death toll from the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, which started on October 7, 2023, to 48,440 martyrs, the health ministry stated.
The ministry added that the number of the wounded also surged to 111,845 people after 10 citizens were injured during Israeli attacks or by unexploded ordnance during the past hours.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to recover the bodies of more martyrs who are still missing in different areas of the Gaza Strip.
