GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement has strongly denounced the US treasury department’s decision to impose sanctions on several Palestinian charitable organizations recognized for their humanitarian relief efforts in the Gaza Strip.
“This decision is unjust and unfair, fueled by incitement from the criminal Zionist entity, which continues its open war against the Palestinian people and their national cause,” Hamas said in a statement on Thursday.
The Movement emphasized that these sanctions would only exacerbate the suffering of Palestinian citizens and deepen the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Hamas urged the US administration to revoke this biased measure and pressure Israel to meet its obligations, particularly by opening the crossings, permitting the entry of aid and shelter supplies, and enabling the national committee to carry out its duties without delay.
On Wednesday, the US treasury department announced sanctions against six Gaza-based organizations and one international Palestinian group, claiming they were operating on behalf of Hamas.
