GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Gaza City municipality has warned of sewage overflow in az-Zeitoun neighborhood after the Israeli occupation army bombed at dawn Monday the emergency system of the wastewater pumping station (7B).
In a statement on Tuesday, the municipality said that its emergency plan to handle sewage in the neighborhood was disrupted as a result of the Israeli attack, warning of a health and environmental disaster in the area.
The municipality appealed to local and international organizations to help it contain the situation and repair the damage to prevent the health and environmental crisis in the area from worsening further.
