GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), A Palestinian citizen was martyred and others were injured in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday as the Israeli occupation army continued to commit ceasefire violations for the 76th consecutive day.
According to media and medical sources, a Palestinian citizen was killed and two others were injured by Israeli gunfire in Jabalia al-Balad, north of Gaza.
Three other civilians sustained bullet injuries when they came under fire from Israeli forces in the east of Khan Yunis, south of Gaza.
At dawn Wednesday, the Israeli army launched two airstrikes on Rafah in southern Gaza. Armored vehicles also opened fire towards the tents of displaced families in the al-Mawasi area.
The Israeli army also carried out an artillery attack on the eastern areas of Gaza City’s al-Tuffah neighborhood and another one on the northeastern areas of al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Meanwhile, renewed rainfall has inundated the fragile tents of displaced families, compounding the humanitarian catastrophe Palestinian families are facing in the Gaza Strip amid the absence of proper housing alternatives following two years of devastating war.
