GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the Gaza Strip called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation the Arab Republic of Egypt and other concerned authorities to put pressure on Israel to allow access of Eid Al-Adha sacrifices to the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry said, in a press statement on Monday, that the Israeli ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip prevents the entry of sacrificial meat into the Strip as part of its starvation war against its people.
The Israeli closure of Gaza crossings is aimed at tightening the siege and starvation war against the Gazan people by depriving them of benefiting from sacrificial meat and denying them their right to perform an important religious ritual, it elaborated.
The Ministry condemned the Israeli blockade on entry of sacrificial meat into the war-torn Gaza Strip, stressing that it falls within Israeli war crimes against the Palestinian people and its violation of freedom of belief and religious practice.
