GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that 60,000 children in Gaza Strip are at risk of serious health complications due to malnutrition. The ministry emphasized that the closure of crossings to food and medical supplies could exacerbate the number of children suffering from malnutrition.
It warned in a statement on Wednesday that the lack of proper nutrition sources and drinking water will intensify health challenges, especially with the ongoing prevention of vaccinations for children, particularly polio vaccines.
Since early March, Israel has prevented any humanitarian, food, or medical aid from entering the Gaza Strip, based on a decision by the extremist occupation government to impose a tight siege on the enclave, followed days later by a resumption of its genocidal war, worsening the humanitarian crisis faced by the population.
Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression against Gaza for the 24th consecutive day, through airstrikes and artillery shelling of inhabited homes, shelters, and tents for the displaced, across various areas of the enclave after violating the ceasefire agreement.
