Gaza Interior Ministry: Israel fueling chaos and backing aid theft to deepen famine

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Interior Ministry in Gaza has accused the Israeli occupation army of deliberately spreading chaos across the Strip by targeting humanitarian aid convoys and supporting organized networks of looters, in a calculated effort to prevent aid from reaching over two million starving civilians.

In a statement issued Thursday, the ministry said Israeli occupation forces (IOF) are systematically attacking personnel tasked with securing aid trucks, including those supervised by international agencies, to disrupt organized delivery and maintain disorder.

“The occupation cannot tolerate any semblance of order in Gaza society,” the statement read, warning that such actions are part of a broader campaign to weaponize starvation.

Efforts by local families and clans to safeguard aid convoys were also reportedly thwarted, as the IOF targeted and killed dozens of young volunteers. The ministry said this effectively dismantled grassroots initiatives and blocked community-led solutions.

Holding Israel fully responsible for the chaos and theft plaguing aid deliveries, the Interior Ministry described Israeli-backed looters as “agents of the occupation” and vowed to continue emergency security operations against them.

It also condemned the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” an Israeli- and US-backed body, as a deceptive mechanism that masks systematic killings of civilians attempting to obtain food. The ministry reiterated that Israeli forces had massacred hundreds of Palestinians during aid distribution over the past two days alone.

Additionally, the ministry warned against the continued use of airdrops, saying they endanger civilians living in overcrowded tent camps and contribute to more chaos, injuries, and damaged aid, all while Israel presents the method as a humanitarian solution.

Calling on the international community to act, the ministry demanded an end to Israeli targeting of aid workers and urged that all humanitarian aid be delivered through experienced UN agencies to ensure it reaches those in need. It also appealed to Gazans to stay away from aid entry routes to reduce casualties and foil the Israeli attempts to manufacture disorder.
