WEST BANK(Palestine Foundation Information Center) A general strike was staged on Tuesday morning in the West Bank cities of Tulkarem, Bethlehem and Qalqilya in mourning for the Palestinian citizens who were killed by Israeli forces and settlers during the past 24 hours.
The general strike was held to mourn Khalil Khallawi, who was shot dead by Jewish settlers in Wadi Rahal village, south of Bethlehem, and the five young men who were killed in an Israeli drone attack on a house in Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem.
Businesses, schools and different facilities observed the strike and shut down their doors in different areas of the cities in protest at the deadly Israeli attacks.
In a related context, the Hamas Movement has strongly denounced the settler attack on the West Bank village of Wadi Rahal, calling for organizing and participating in massive angry rallies across the West Bank and clash with Israeli soldiers and settlers on Tuesday.
Hamas said that the crimes that are committed by settlers during their attacks on Palestinian citizens and property in the West Bank confirm the real Israeli intents to seize the entire occupied Palestinian territories.
