Family sources confirmed the killing of Abdullah Hamad, the son of senior Hamas official and member of the negotiation delegation Ghazi Hamad, after being besieged along with a group of fighters for months in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.
His brother, Mohammed Hamad, confirmed his killing, saying, “My beloved, the light of my heart, Abdullah, has become a martyr. He departed bravely, not fleeing, under siege and in combat in the tunnels of Rafah. He met The Almightly with contentment and faith.”
In recent days, Israeli forces have claimed the assassination of several fighters who were reportedly in Rafah’s tunnels and had lost contact with the outside world since the ceasefire on October 10.
Several sons of senior Hamas leaders have been killed while taking part in resistance operations against Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip during the Israeli genocidal war.
