GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Government Media Office (GMO) has held the Israeli occupation authority fully responsible for the serious humanitarian repercussions resulting from its intransigence and its refusal to abide by the ceasefire agreement.
In a statement on Sunday, GMO said that the continued Israeli closure of the Netzarim corridor area exacerbates the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
GMO accused the Israeli occupation of evading its obligations under the ceasefire agreement, stressing that this agreement stipulates that Israeli forces have to withdraw from Netzarim corridor after the release and handover of four Israeli female soldiers.
GMO said that Israel’s failure to respect the ceasefire agreement reflects its arrogance, its lack of credibility and its blatant disregard for the efforts being made to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza.
GMO pointed out that “tens of thousands of citizens are waiting anxiously for the opening of the Netzarim corridor,” calling this Israeli practice as “aimed at increasing the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza” and “part of the genocidal war.”
GMO called on the international and regional parties to immediately pressure the Israeli government to respect its obligations under the ceasefire agreement.
