GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza said the Israeli occupation forces’ (IOF) escalation in targeting policemen and aid security personnel in the Gaza Strip is aimed at creating an administrative and governmental vacuum and spreading security chaos in the Gaza Strip, in an attempt to destabilize the people and undermine their steadfastness.
The GMO announced in a statement on Thursday that the number of martyrs of aid security personnel has reached 736 martyrs.
The Office condemned the Israeli crimes that run contrary to all international and humanitarian laws, holding the Israeli occupation, the US administration, and other countries involved in the genocide, fully responsible for committing these crimes.
GMO called on the international community and all its institutions to take immediate action to stop the IOF heinous crimes, to put an end to the ongoing aggression and to achieve justice by holding accountable the perpetrators of the Israeli crimes being committed against the Palestinian people.
At dawn Thursday, 11 Palestinians were martyred, including Major General Mahmoud Salah, Director General of the Police Department, and the Brigadier General Hussam Shahwan, his assistant, in addition to children and women, while others were injured in Israeli airstrikes that targeted the displaced tents in the Al-Mawasi area in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
