GMO: Not a single grain of wheat allowed to enter Gaza for nearly three months

GAZA   (Palestine Foundation Information Center) No humanitarian aid has been allowed into the Gaza Strip for more than 80 days under the tight blockade and worsening famine, the Government Media Office (GMO) in the Gaza Strip said on Monday.

In a press statement, the GMO added that the Israeli occupation army has completely closed all crossings and prevented even a single grain of wheat from entering for nearly three months, in a systematic starvation policy affecting 2.4 million defenseless people.

It explained that Israel allowed only nine trucks loaded with limited nutritional supplements for children, which represent only a drop in the ocean of urgent needs and do not meet the minimum requirements for life.

It further explained that the Gaza Strip needs 500 aid trucks and 50 fuel trucks daily, which makes a total of 44,000 trucks that should have entered over the past 80 days.

“What will enter today does not exceed 0.02% of this figure. This comparison alone is enough to reveal the scale of the catastrophe and the criminal intent behind the closure of the crossings and the starvation of the population,” it added.

The GMO held Israel and the international community fully responsible for this ongoing humanitarian crime, demanding immediate international action to open the crossings unconditionally and allow the entry of all humanitarian needs before it is too late.
