GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center)The Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza confirmed that safeguarding the humanitarian aid trucks that entered the Strip constitutes a blow to chaos and lawlessness.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the GMO said: “After a harsh interruption that lasted 81 days due to the systematic starvation crime committed by the Israeli occupation, the first humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip yesterday, Wednesday.”
The GMO clarified that the trucks safely reached designated warehouses and then were delivered to vital facilities such as bakeries, all while thousands of families continue to suffer under catastrophic conditions resulting from the ongoing siege and genocide.
The GMO extended “deep thanks to the Palestinian people — to families, community leaders, and tribal elders — who answered the national call and took responsibility in protecting the trucks from any attempts at theft or assault. Their efforts enabled aid teams to deliver assistance to those in need despite all the challenges that the criminal occupation was betting on.”
The statement emphasized that protecting the aid trucks and humanitarian relief is a collective national and moral duty, stressing that any attack on this aid is a betrayal of the hungry and contributes to deepening the humanitarian disaster the occupation seeks to impose on our people by every means.
“We call on everyone — individuals and social components — to continue ensuring the safe and orderly delivery of humanitarian aid and to firmly confront any outlaws who may attempt to undermine the dignity of those in need or sabotage national efforts to remain resilient and alleviate suffering,” the statement added.
The statement concluded by affirming that “the unity of the Palestinian people and their adherence to the higher values of solidarity, order, and responsibility are a fundamental pillar in confronting this unprecedented ordeal.”
