GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement has expressed its support for the Lebanese army, people, and resistance in confronting Israeli aggression.
Israeli forces opened fire at the Lebanese people returning to their homes in the country’s southern towns, killing at least 15 people and wounding 90 others, according to the latest figures released by Lebanon’s Public Health Ministry.
Earlier on Sunday, the 60-day deadline for the complete withdrawal of Israeli soldiers from south Lebanon ended. The pullout was stipulated in a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hezbollah.
“The people of southern Lebanon have written a heroic epic by storming the Israeli military checkpoints, liberating their land and forcing their return to their lands against the Israeli will,” the Movement said.
“The people of Lebanon have offered dozens of martyrs and wounded since this morning, affirming their adherence to their land, villages, properties and homes.”
Hamas expressed its solidarity and support for Lebanon, its people, army and resistance in the face of the brutal Israeli aggression, condemning the Israeli attack on the civilians of south Lebanon returning to their border villages.
It also called on the international community, Arab and Islamic countries to take urgent action to protect the Lebanese people, and force the Israeli occupation forces to withdraw immediately from the south.
