MOSCOW (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A senior Hamas delegation met in Moscow on Monday with the Russian deputy foreign minister Mikhail Bogdanov for a discussion on Gaza ceasefire developments.
A Hamas statement that Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk, member of its political bureau and head of the international relations office, led the delegation and discussed with Bogdanov negotiations for the second stage of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
The talks tackled the Israeli deliberate delay in allowing entry of badly needed tents, caravans, fuel, and heavy machinery, the Hamas statement said, adding that Abu Marzouk highlighted the importance of the Russian role in supporting the Palestinian people’s rights.
The Hamas leader asserted the importance of providing all the Palestinian people’s needs in the Gaza Strip and emphasized rejection of all attempts to enforce emigration on the Gaza people.
For his part, Bogdanov reiterated his country’s stable stance in support of the Palestinian people’s rights and affirmed the importance of facilitating the entry of all humanitarian aid into the beleaguered enclave.
He stressed Russia’s refusal to impose any solutions on the Palestinians, adding that Moscow would continue to support the Palestinian cause at all platforms.
