GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) On the 31st anniversary of the Ibrahimi Mosque massacre, the Hamas Movement has affirmed that the Israeli occupation will not succeed in breaking the Palestinian people’s will or imposing its sovereignty over a single inch of the Palestinian land.
“The Ibrahimi Mosque massacre, which was committed by extremist settler Baruch Goldstein in 1914 with the support of the occupation forces and resulted in the martyrdom of 29 Palestinians and the injury of dozens, is still a testament to the criminal policy being pursued by the occupation against the Palestinians,” Hamas said in a statement on Tuesday.
“This anniversary comes as the Israeli aggression in the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem is escalating through annexation, displacement and the desecration of the Aqsa Mosque in blatant defiance of the international law and conventions,” Hamas said.
Hamas affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s Judaization and settlement plans in the West Bank and Jerusalem would fail to terrorize the Palestinian people or falsify the historical facts.
“Our people’s memory is alive, and they will not forget or forgive the crimes and massacres committed by the enemy against them — the latest of which are the genocidal crimes against our people in the Gaza Strip for more than 15 months, and its ongoing crimes in the West Bank and Jerusalem,” Hamas said.
The Movement called on the international community, the International Court of Justice, and the International Criminal Court to hold Israeli leaders accountable for their crimes in Palestine.
