Hamas and PFLP bless Jordanian border operation

GAZA  (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has blessed the Jordanian shooting operation that took place on Friday near the border between occupied Palestine and Jordan and injured two Israeli soldiers.

In separate statements, Hamas and PFLP called this operation as an important development in the confrontation with the Israeli occupation and a natural response to its crimes against the Palestinian people.

In its statement, Hamas hailed the operation as an important development of the al-Aqsa Flood battle and a natural response to the brutal Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza and the West Bank.

Hamas also said that this operation reflects the free Arab peoples’ continued support for the Palestinian resistance and comes as part of the Arab solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza, stressing that the Palestinian struggle would continue until the removal of the occupation from the Palestinian land.

The Movement urged the Palestinian citizens in the West Bank and Jerusalem to continue carrying out operations against the occupation to deter its crimes.

For its part, PFLP described the Jordanian operation as a “legitimate response to the Israeli crimes,” stressing that it “comes in the context of the Arab peoples’ support for the resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq.”

PFLP said that the launch of this operation from the Jordanian territories carried “nationalist meanings” and reflected that “the Arab peoples are united in their destiny and their struggle against the Zionist settler project, which poses a threat to the entire Arab national security and not only to Palestine.”

Two Israeli soldiers were injured on Friday morning during a Jordanian shooting operation at the illegal settlement of Neot HaKikar, which is located south of the Dead Sea near the border between occupied Palestine and Jordan.
