WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement has called for escalating all forms of resistance to deter Jewish settlers from persisting in their crimes in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement on Tuesday, Hamas accused the Israeli occupation government of inciting settler groups to persist in their violent and deadly attacks on West Bank villages and towns.
“All this blood will not go in vain, but rather it will spark revenge and fire that will burn the occupation and its settler groups. Our people’s steadfastness and resolve cannot be undermined by the occupation’s massacres and oppression, whose attempts to suppress the resistance in the West Bank have failed,” Hamas said.
“The settler militias’ organized and growing attacks on [Palestinian] citizens and their property and their use of live ammunition against citizens are a dangerous escalation that vindicates further the occupation’s brutality, its thirst to shed more Palestinian blood and its overwhelming desire to displace the Palestinian people from their land in order to fulfill its malicious plans that aim to liquidate the Palestinian cause,” Hamas underscored.
For its part, the Arab Parliament denounced the recent settler violations and crimes that escalated unprecedentedly in the West Bank under military protection.
The Arab Parliament appealed to the international community and the UN Security Council to necessarily provide protection for the Palestinian people and take urgent action to force the Israeli government to stop all its settlement activities, dismantle the armed settler militias in the West Bank, and immediately end its aggressive practices in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
