OCCUPIED JERUSALEM(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The head of the Jerusalem Affairs Office in the Hamas Movement, Haroun Nasser al-Din, warned of the Jewish settlers’ escalating incursions into the Aqsa Mosque.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Nasser al-Din said that “performing provocative Talmudic rituals in the courtyards of the Aqsa Mosque, the ongoing violations against it, and the Israeli government’s adoption of Judaization policy and absolute support for the so-called Temple groups, the latest of which was the decision to finance the incursions and allocate an official budget for them, represents an ignition of the field in Jerusalem and even in various arenas.”
Nasser al-Din warned of the danger of the fierce attack on the Aqsa Mosque, stressing that the Israeli persistence will increase the anger of the Palestinian people and their resistance, adding that these attacks will be met with more confrontation.
The Hamas leader called on the Palestinian people in Occupied Jerusalem and within the Green Line to intensify their mobilization and presence in the holy shrine
He also called on all the masses of the Palestinian people “to mobilize and confront the ongoing Israeli crimes, and confront the Israeli aggression against Occupied Jerusalem.”
He further urged the Arab and Islamic nation, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and all concerned parties, to assume their responsibilities and protect the Aqsa Mosque, which is exposed to all forms of siege, oppression, and abuses.
Earlier in the morning, 410 Jewish settlers stormed the Aqsa Mosque, coinciding with the so-called “beginning of the Hebrew month” under heavy police protection.
