Hamas calls Israeli raids in W. Bank “acts of barbarism,” “part of genocidal war”

RAMALLAH, (Palestine Foundation Information Center )  The Hamas Movement has accused the Israeli regime of pursuing an overtly destructive strategy in the West Bank and carrying out a malicious plan to tighten its military control over the occupied territory.

In a statement on Tuesday, senior Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi described Israeli forces’ attack on Ramallah City today, which involved raids on financial and civilian facilities, including banks and currency exchange companies, as “acts of barbarism.”

Mardawi also called the Israeli raids in Ramallah as a “full-fledged crime” and “part of the genocidal war being waged on the Palestinians in Gaza.”

“The occupation’s aggression will not succeed in intimidating our people or deterring them from holding on to their land and rights,” the Hamas official said.

He expressed his confidence that the Palestinian people are capable of foiling Israel’s annexation and displacement schemes.
