GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement called on the Council of Arab Health Ministers in its 61st session, hosted by the Republic of Iraq, to adopt urgent practical decisions to save the health sector and hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
“We, in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), call on the Council of Arab Health Ministers in its 61st session, hosted by the Republic of Iraq, to adopt urgent practical decisions and plans to save the health sector and hospitals in the Gaza Strip, which have been subjected to the systematic destruction of all their capabilities and medical cadres for more than a year, due to the aggression and genocidal war committed by the Zionist occupation against our people in the Gaza Strip.”
The Movement pointed out that “all hospitals in the Gaza Strip are out of service, and lack the most basic medical capabilities, with the increasing number of wounded, injured and sick people, the targeting of health sector workers, and the lack of all the components of human life, including food, medicine and fuel, portends an increase in the number of deaths, especially among the wounded, injured and sick children, women and the elderly.”
The Movement also appreciated the speech of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani during the opening of the Council of Arab Health Ministers in Baghdad in its 61st session, calling on the attendees to adopt urgent plans to save the health sector in the Gaza Strip.
