GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Hamas Movement strongly denounced on Tuesday the announcement made by President of Argentina Javier Milei about his intention to transfer his country’s embassy to Occupied Jerusalem.
In a statement issued by the Movement, Hamas said it viewed the move as “an infringement on the rights of our Palestinian people to their land, and a violation of the rules of international law because Jerusalem is part of occupied Palestinian land.”
Hamas called on the Argentinian President to “rescind this unjust and wrong decision, which indicates that Argentina is a complicit partner to the Israeli Zionist occupation in its violations against our people and their national rights to their land and sanctities.”
President Milei arrived in Israel on Tuesday evening in his first visit since taking office. He was received by Foreign Minister Israel Katz, who thanked him for his “support for the State of Israel.”
Upon landing at Lod Airport, Milei announced his decision to move the Argentinian embassy to Occupied Jerusalem
