Hamas condemns Israeli destruction of Gaza dialysis center, calls for international investigation

GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement has strongly condemned the Israeli military’s destruction of the Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Center in northern Gaza, calling it a new crime in the systematic targeting and dismantling of Gaza’s healthcare sector.

In a statement issued Monday, Hamas said that tens of thousands of patients, including women, children, and the elderly, are now left without access to medical care or facilities to manage chronic and life-threatening illnesses.

The Movement stressed that the fascist Israeli government has deliberately targeted all aspects of life in Gaza for the past 19 months.

Hamas emphasized that these brutal violations, carried out by the war criminal Netanyahu’s regime against innocent civilians, blatantly violate all international laws and conventions. It pointed out that the massacres, starvation, and destruction are happening under the political and military protection of the US administration, alongside a disgraceful international silence and inaction.

The Movement called on the international community, the United Nations, and especially the UN Security Council, to uphold humanitarian values and international law, to act to stop the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and to hold the occupation leaders accountable for their war crimes.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that Israeli forces demolished the Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Center in northern Gaza.

In a press release on Sunday evening, the Ministry said the center had provided vital dialysis services to kidney patients across the northern region of the Strip.

It warned that the destruction of the center places patients with kidney failure in a catastrophic health situation with unpredictable consequences.

“41% of kidney failure patients have died during the war due to being denied access to dialysis centers, following the destruction of these centers and departments dedicated to their care.”

It affirmed that Israel is following a dangerous policy aimed at eliminating hospitals and specialized healthcare centers in northern Gaza.

Since March 2, Israeli occupation forces have imposed a total blockade on Gaza, preventing the entry of all humanitarian, food, medical, and fuel aid, along with any other supplies necessary to keep the population alive.
