GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement condemned on Wednesday evening the repeated Israeli aggression against Syria, emphasizing its full solidarity with the country in the face of the occupation’s aggression.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said that the behavior of the Israeli occupation is the real danger to regional security.
He stressed that the ongoing aggression against Syria “exposes the expansionist behavior of the occupation authorities throughout the region.”
According to Israeli Channel 12, the Israeli occupation army announced at dawn Wednesday that it had divided southern Syria into three main areas to “prevent the consolidation of the new regime’s control, and to ensure the ability to control several levels of the border to the capital Damascus.”
The Israeli occupation army has established two military positions on the top of the occupied Mount Hermon in southwestern Syria, the Israeli army radio revealed on Wednesday morning.
Since 1967, Israel has occupied most of the Syrian Golan Heights, and took advantage of the events of the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad in December 2024 and expanded its area of occupation, including the Syrian buffer zone, and destroyed vehicles, equipment and ammunition of the Syrian army in airstrikes.
