WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement strongly condemned an attack carried out by Jewish settlers, accompanied by Israeli forces, on the village of Talfit south of Nablus and other areas in the West Bank. The assault included attacks on property, intimidation of residents, and the use of live ammunition, resulting in injuries among several Palestinians.
In a press statement on Friday, Hamas said the incident constitutes “criminal aggression” and reflects ongoing systematic practices overseen by the Israeli government.
The Movement added that the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is implementing a systematic policy against the Palestinian people by enabling armed settlers, under the protection of Israeli army, to carry out attacks in cities, villages, and refugee camps across the West Bank.
Hamas called on the international community, the United Nations, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to condemn the ongoing Israeli crimes in the West Bank and to take deterrent measures against policies of settlement expansion, displacement, and annexation.
The Movement also urged Palestinians in the West Bank, along with various factions and political forces, to unite in confronting these policies, intensify all forms of struggle and resistance, and remain committed to ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
