DOHA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement reiterated its readiness to implement the ceasefire agreement based on the US proposal and rejected any new conditions on this agreement from any party.
This came during a meeting with Qatari and Egyptian mediators in Doha, on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and the director of Egyptian intelligence Abbas Kamel.
The Hamas Movement confirmed that its negotiations team emphasized to the Qatari Prime Minister and the Egyptian spy chief that “we positively view reaching a ceasefire agreement that will include the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the entire Gaza Strip.”
Hamas said it has no new demands, and it opposes any new demands from any party.
“We gave our response to the mediators and we are interested in further mediation to reach an agreement,” Hamas said.
The delegation also stressed its rejection of any projects related to the post-cessation of aggression on the Gaza Strip, and emphasized that it is an internal Palestinian affair.
Hamas also welcomed holding a comprehensive national dialogue with all Palestinian factions and forces to agree on a national vision to confront the repercussions of the current stage and unify the national arena.
It also welcomed the mediators’ ongoing role and efforts to reach a ceasefire.
