MOSCOW (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A delegation of the Hamas Movement met in Moscow on Friday with Mikhail Bogdanov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Special Representative of the President of Russia for the Middle East, for a discussion on Gaza developments and other issues of mutual concern.
The Hamas delegation, which included its political bureau member Mousa Abu Marzouk and Husam Badran, expressed thanks for Russia’s supportive stance of the Palestinian question and for hosting a meeting for the Palestinian factions.
The delegates briefed Bogdanov on developments of the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza and its vicious crimes against civilians there and affirmed that resistance would continue to defend the Palestinian people until final liberation.
The Palestinian factions had earlier Friday issued a statement at the conclusion of their meetings in Moscow affirming their adherence to “confronting the Israeli aggression and genocidal war being waged against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem with the US support and complicity.”
The factions also stressed the need for “resisting, halting and thwarting the Israeli attempts and plans to displace our people from their homes in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Jerusalem, emphasizing the illegality of settlement expansion in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council and General Assembly.”
