GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem confirmed on Friday that the Israeli occupation continues to carry out massacres against residents of the Gaza Strip, targeting civilian homes and individuals, in repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Qassem said that this dangerous escalation coincides with the announcement by mediators of the formation of a technocratic government and the transition into the second phase of the agreement. It also comes alongside US President Donald Trump’s declaration of the formation of a “Peace Council,” which, according to Qassem, underscores the Israeli government’s continued efforts to sabotage the ceasefire agreement and disrupt initiatives aimed at stabilizing the situation in Gaza.
He further explained that these ongoing violations by Israel place a responsibility on the mediators and guarantor countries, those who took part in the Sharm El-Sheikh summit, to exert pressure on Israel to stop its breaches and abide by what was agreed upon.
Earlier, Gaza’s Government Media Office stated that since the ceasefire took effect on 10 October 2025, Israel has committed systematic and severe violations of the agreement. These include clear breaches of international humanitarian law and deliberate attempts to undermine the core principles and humanitarian protocols attached to the ceasefire agreement.
