RAMALLAH, (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement praised the heroic operation carried out by a Palestinian resistance fighter near the village of al-Mughayyer, east of Ramallah, which resulted in the injury of a settler.
The Movement commended the resistance fighter, who beat the settler after his pistol malfunctioned, before withdrawing safely from the scene.
In a statement on Thursday, Hamas said the operation reflects the courage and determination of the Palestinian people in the West Bank and demonstrates that the flame of resistance remains alive there.
It stressed that the attack is a legitimate response to the escalating crimes perpetrated by the fascist occupation government and its armed settler militias against the Palestinian people, whether the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza that targets defenseless civilians or the persistent violations across the West Bank.
The Movement called on the masses of the Palestinian people, particularly the revolutionary youth in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, to continue and intensify the uprising against the Israeli occupation and its fascist settlers until liberation of the occupied lands.
Hamas also renewed its call on Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem to align with the global popular movement during Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (August 22, 23, and 24), and beyond.
The Movement stressed that the occupier will never be safe on Palestinian soil, affirming that the Palestinian people and their heroic resistance will continue striking at the occupation and its settler militias until the land and holy sites are liberated and the aggression against the steadfast Palestinian people is defeated.
