GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Hamas called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to take the report of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry, which detailed the genocide committed by the Israeli occupation forces, seriously and to investigate its findings.
In a statement released Thursday, Hamas said that the UN committee’s report, which details the Israeli occupation’s commission of genocide-related acts and violations across the Palestinian territories and in detention facilities where sexual harassment and torture were observed, “confirms the horrific crimes that the fascist occupation government continues to commit.”
Hamas emphasized that the Israeli army has committed unprecedented violations of international law and humanitarian norms against defenseless civilians, especially in the Gaza Strip.
“The report verified that the government of terrorist Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, imposed a total blockade, prevented food, medicine, and other necessities from entering the Gaza Strip, and purposefully and methodically destroyed hospitals and health facilities. These are blatant war crimes and full-fledged acts of genocide.”
“The report’s reference to the international community’s disdain and denial of the crimes and violations committed against the Palestinians calls for a serious stance from all countries of the world, as well as from the United Nations and its institutions, to break out of silence and inaction, and to take effective measures to deter this fascist Zionist gang, halt its crimes, and compel it to implement the terms of the signed ceasefire agreement,” Hamas continued.
Along with earlier UN reports detailing the crimes and violations committed by the occupation, Hamas urged the ICJ, the ICC, and all other international and national judicial institutions worldwide to take seriously the contents of this report.
