Hamas, Islamic Jihad discuss ceasefire implementation in Gaza

GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement and Islamic Jihad discussed on Thursday the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, Israeli violations of the deal and developments on the resumption of talks.

The meeting in Qatar brought together Mohammed Darwish, the head of Hamas’s leadership council, and Ziyad al-Nakhalah, the leader of Islamic Jihad, along with his deputy, Mohammed al-Hindi.

The two Palestinian resistance groups emphasized the need for “full compliance with all ceasefire provisions, particularly concerning Israel’s withdrawal from the Philadelphi Corridor along the Gaza-Egypt border, the opening of border crossings, and the implementation of the humanitarian protocol.”

They also stressed the importance of ensuring the delivery of all essential supplies to Gaza and moving forward with the second phase of the three-phase agreement without conditions.

They also stressed that “the resistance remains committed to faithfully implementing the ceasefire agreement and is fully prepared to continue its execution.”

Additionally, both delegations condemned Israeli crimes in occupied Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, including the destruction of refugee camps in Jenin and Nur Shams, and the prevention of worshipers from praying at the Ibrahimi Mosque, calling it a serious violation of Islamic religious sites and endowments.
