GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement said that the Israeli occupation’s bombardment of defenseless civilians and running over the injured are full-fledged war crimes.
The Israeli fascist occupation continues its crimes in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex and its surrounding areas, besieging hundreds of sick, wounded, displaced people and detaining medical staff, the Movement said in a statement.
The group further pointed out that ongoing bombings, raids, and arrests expose Israeli heinous crimes in the vicinity of the complex.
These barbaric acts, in which the occupation army and its terrorist government violate international laws, by targeting the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, including innocent and defenseless civilians, are carried out amid the total silence of the international community, which bears witness to the complete collapse of the international legal and moral system, the Hamas Movement said.
Meanwhile, new footage published by the Al-Jazeera TV channel showed injured Palestinians being run over by Israeli tanks in the vicinity of al-Shifa Hospital.
Half of an injured Palestinian man’s body with a cast on one leg was visible in the video clip. He had attempted to crawl away but was run over by an Israeli tank.
Last week, scores of Palestinians were massacred and injured in intense Israeli army shelling near Al-Shifa Hospital as they were breaking their fast in the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
The artillery bombardment resulted in widespread fires, killing and injuring dozens of Palestinians, including women and children, and forcing hundreds to flee to the east of Gaza City.
