GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement has affirmed that the Israeli crimes against Palestinian journalists “will not succeed in silencing the voice of truth.”
In a statement released on the “Day of Allegiance to Palestinian Journalists,” which is marked annually on December 31, Hamas said that “the role of Palestinian journalists will remain stronger than the bullets of the occupation.”
Hamas called for international action to hold Israeli leaders accountable for the crimes committed against journalists and media professionals in Palestine.
“This occasion comes after two years of genocidal war on the Gaza Strip that has claimed the lives of 257 journalists since October 7, 2023,” Hamas said.
“The war on Gaza has unmasked the Israeli occupation as the most dangerous archenemy of journalism and journalists, who represent the voice and picture that unveil its crimes and massacres and contribute to debunking its propaganda through reporting the real events on the ground to the world despite their exposure to ongoing and direct targeting,” the Movement added.
