WEST BANK (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement stated on Wednesday evening that the Israeli military operation in the Balata refugee camp in Nablus represents a new escalation in the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people.
The Movement said it is a continuation of the genocide that has been ongoing in the Gaza Strip for over a year and a half, as well as part of a systematic campaign of forced displacement targeting Jenin and Tulkarem in recent months.
In a statement, Hamas stressed that the Palestinian people, who have confronted the occupation with steadfastness and sacrifice, will once again thwart all attempts by the enemy to undermine the popular support for the resistance in the West Bank — particularly in its steadfast refugee camps.
These crimes, Hamas affirmed, will not break the will of the Palestinian people or deter them from defending their land, holy sites, and legitimate rights.
The Movement also paid tribute to the youth of Balata camp, describing them as heroes who bravely confronted the occupation forces and defended their camp.
“We heard their chants for the resistance and its martyred leaders,” the statement said, calling it a sign of loyalty that proves the people will not stray from the path of their free leaders.
Hamas called on the masses in the West Bank to “launch a widespread popular uprising, to stand united in the face of the occupation, and to strengthen solidarity and support for the areas under Zionist attack.”
