GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Hamas Movement said the Israeli captives held by the resistance in the Gaza Strip will not return by escalation and military pressure.
The Movement underscored, in a brief statement on Sunday evening, that “the Zionist escalation against civilians sends bloody and criminal messages to pressure the resistance, coinciding with the arrival of the Hamas delegation in Cairo, and talks about new proposals.”
“Netanyahu and his government will not make any progress in the prisoner file without a swap deal, and the escalation is a losing gamble at the expense of the captives,” Hamas stressed.
It reiterated that the Israeli captives will not return by military escalation, but rather by the decision that Netanyahu refuses to make.
Hamas announced on Saturday evening that its delegation, headed by leader Khalil al-Hayya, traveled to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in response to an official invitation.
The Movement added that its delegation would meet and follow up with mediators from Qatar and Egypt on efforts aimed at reaching an agreement and ceasing the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
