BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center)An Israeli drone fired a missile at a car in southern Lebanon on Friday killing Samer al-Haj, a Hamas leader, and seriously injuring his companion, Milhem Tawfik.
The official Lebanese news agency said that leader al-Haj was immediately killed in the drone attack at the southern entrance of Sidon in south Lebanon.
It added that ambulance and civil defense crews rushed to the scene of the incident, adding that al-Haj is a known leader of the Hamas Movement in Ein Al-Hilweh refugee camp in southern Lebanon.
Meanwhile, local sources in the refugee camp said that the Israeli raid targeted the two field commanders in the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas, Samer al-Haj and Milhem Tawfik.
An angry protest marched through the streets of the refugee camp as soon as news of the deadly attack was declared.
