GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center) Hamas Movement mourned a group of companions and office assistants of the late head of Hamas political bureau, martyr Ismail Haneyya, who were martyred in an Israeli airstrike near his home in Gaza’s Al-Shati camp.
Hamas said in a press statement on Monday evening, “this crime shows the scale of Israeli malevolence for everyone who is affiliated with the Hamas late leader Ismail Haneyya.”
The Movement stressed that the ongoing Israeli crimes and massacres will not weaken the Palestinian resistance, pledging to carry on with resistance until liberation.
On Monday evening, Israeli warplanes bombed a gathering of citizens near Haneyya’s house west of Gaza, leading to the martyrdom of nine martyrs including six of Haneyya’s aides and assistants, one of them was martyred along with his daughter.
The Israeli sudden attack set fire to several displacement tents in the al-Qarara area, northwest of Khan Yunis.
Local sources told the PIC correspondent that the Israeli occupation forces, stationed near Hamad City west of Khan Yunis, opened machine gunfire amid heavy artillery shelling, towards the al-Mawasi area, which has been claimed to be a “safe humanitarian zone”, and accordingly was sheltering tens of thousands of displaced people in worn tents.
According to the sources, many injuries could not be transferred to hospital, as it was not possible to extinguish the fire that broke out in their tents.
Since early Tuesday morning, the vicinity of Hamad City, which houses thousands of displaced people, as well as the al-Mawasi area, has been witnessing violent bombing and shooting from Israeli quadcopter planes, leading to the martyrdom of a number of citizens, including an 8-month-old infant, in addition to the injury of dozens of others.
