BEIRUT (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A Hamas official delegation on Friday met with the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziad Al-Nakhala, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Jamil Mizher.
Hamas said in a statement, “The meeting came in the context of joint national action, consultation, and communication to address the Zionist aggression.”
The meeting discussed the political and field developments and the efforts exerted by the resistance “to stop the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip.”
The meeting also reviewed the news which has recently been circulated on ceasefire talks, emphasizing the resistance’s persistent demands including ending the aggression against the Palestinian people in general and the Gaza Strip in particular, a complete withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces, a guaranteed aid delivery into Gaza, and starting reconstruction as well as reaching a prisoner exchange deal.
It was also emphasized in the meetings that efforts should continue to achieve these goals through resistance as the only path that leads to liberation, the return of Palestinian refugees to their homeland, and the establishment of the State of Palestine on national soil with Jerusalem as its capital.
