Gaza, (The Palestine Information Centre)The Hamas Movement has dismissed false Israeli claims promoted by the Western media accusing Palestinian fighters of killing children and targeting civilians during the first days of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood.”
In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas categorically denied the fabrications and allegations that were reported recently by some Western media outlets that unprofessionally adopted an Israeli narrative full of lies and slanders about the Palestinian people and their resistance, especially the latest claims that resistance fighters from al-Qassam Brigades killed and beheaded children and targeted civilians.
Hamas condemned the Western media for adopting Israeli narratives without verification as a “moral decline” and an “attempt to cover up the crimes and massacres that Israel commits day and night in Gaza.”
Hamas stressed that Israel’s massacres in Gaza “amount to war crimes and genocide as it targets civilians and deprive them of electricity, water, and food and medical supplies.”
Hamas affirmed that the Palestinian resistance and al-Qassam Brigades target, during Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” the Israeli military and security system, which is a “legitimate target.”
Hamas added that the resistance fighters sought to avoid targeting civilians, pointing to recent testimonies made by Jewish settlers during interviews conducted with them by Israeli correspondents.
“Those Western media outlets, which are biased in favor of the Zionist narrative, were unable to mention the enormity of the Israeli crimes committed against the people of Gaza, where entire neighborhoods had been wiped out and residential buildings were bombed over the heads of their residents,” Hamas said.
The Movement affirmed that the Israeli attacks on Gaza claimed the lives of 950 Palestinian civilians so far, including 260 children and 230 women whose homes were bombed without warning.
It called on the Western media to be objective and professional when reporting and covering the current events in Gaza and to refrain from blindly adopting Israeli claims about the Palestinian people and their resistance.
